Bidirectional English/Japanese Translation now on FreeTranslation.com

We have added support for the translation of text from English to Japanese and from Japanese to English! The technology is used on FreeTranslation.com under license from MTLabs, a leading developer of automated translation software for the Japanese market.

There are three scripts that are used to write Japanese, kanji, hiragana, and katakana. The Japanese-to-English translation module recognizes and translates all of these. Western learners of Japanese, however, often prefer the simplicity of using Roman characters to spell out Japanese words phonetically, which is called rōmaji. Please note that the Japanese-to-English translation module does not recognize this writing system. If you try to translate a Japanese text that is written in rōmaji, it simply will not translate.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your free translation service is permitting our neighborhood to include Spanish-speaking neighbors into our neighborhood watch! Highly needed, we just had several break-ins to homes, and it is a joy to be able to include these folks as part of the community.

Your website is awesome! I found it by one of my schoolfriends telling me. No other website translates the text as good as yours does.

Thank you tons! Your free translations are a lifesaver! I am a Spanish teacher who frequently needs to look up words students need translated for reports and such. As I am a teacher with a very limited budget, I, like my foreign language teaching colleagues, can't afford expensive translation software. As my students (whom apparently think they are taking a Spanglish course and not a Spanish course) would say, thanks-o!

Thank you very much for this website! I am now passing my spanish class and went for a D to an A. I also am doing very well in English because I am from Africa and I am proud to say that this website is the best!
